Mama Coca is one of the most sacred offerings in the entire Willka Maki collection because she does not simply carry medicine, she is medicine.

Ancient, living and deeply misunderstood by a world that forgot how to listen to the plants.

This pendant was channelled in the form of the sacred coca leaf — the most revered plant of the Andean world.

And not of the distortion, or the extraction but the sacred coca leaf itself. Mama Coca is holy exactly as Pachamama intended her to be.

For thousands of years before the world ever heard of cocaine, the sacred coca leaf was prayer. She was the first offering placed on the altar. The bridge between the human world and the spirit world.

The plant that sustained the Inca on their mountain crossings, that opened the channel of communication with the ancestors and that was chewed in ceremony and held in the mouth during moments of deep intention and gratitude.

Mama Coca arrives in green Peruvian serpentine, swirling with the forest greens of the jungle canopy, the sacred valley and the living earth from which the coca plant grows. She is held within a bronze setting etched with ancient iconographic borders — honouring the lineage and the civilisations that walked in right relationship with this sacred plant for millennia. At her crown is a single moonstone. Small, luminous and perfect. The dewdrop on the morning leaf and the lunar light that blesses what grows beneath it.

She hangs on a long chain resting over the heart, over the chest and close to the prayer. Exactly where she belongs.
